Tezeta Gant: The nerdy girl

Tezeta Gant, a Sophomore here at FSU Born in Africa, and was adopted into an U.S. familiy in Albuquerque, NM later on moved to Maryland. Gant is a Communication Studies major with a minor in Public Relations, and small business management. Gant chose FSU because it was 5 1/2 hours away yet still in state, along with the fact that she really liked the area and the outdoors.

Gant has recently started up the brand new organization of the Fandom Society. The Fandom Society is an organization that exists to "allow a group of students and faculty a chance to geek out and nerd out" according to Gant. The group has evolved to give people an opportunity to talk and have discussions about the many fandoms that exist within the Fandom Society. The one thing that led Gant to form the Fandom society is that last semester at FSU Gant was taking "3 online classes...talked to coop and prof. Stern which ended in the formation of the Fandom society. The fandom society has had quizzes to gauge how many fandoms are represented and it is estimated that there are 16 fandoms represented within the fandom society.

Gant is also involved with other organizations along with the Fandom Society such as being the President of Cambridge Hall, and Vice President of Hillel. After college Gant wants to work in "event planning, work with an event planning firm and eventually start up my own event planning company". She wants to focus on weddings and learn everything about weddings. She plans to intern at a florist shop and a bar to gain that experience so that when she does get out in the field she'll be able to be able to be the best to her clients.
