What Are You Doing For Spring Break?

What Are You Doing For Spring Break?
by Andrew Beachy

For Frostburg State University students, spring break can be an exciting time. For many, it means returning home. For others, it means vacationing to faraway places. And for some unfortunate few, it means study, homework, and projects. I took some time to talk with a few students about their spring break plans, and here's what they had to say.

Ferneasia Chapman

Ferneasia Chapman is a sophomore at FSU who comes from faraway Crawfordilly, Georgia. I met her behind the desk of the library on campus. A psychology major, she has schoolwork in mind when it comes to spring break. "I'm going to study for a huge test," she said. "That's my life."

Maggie Stahr

Maggie Stahr, an Early Childhood Elementary Education major at FSU, will be travelling for her spring break. Maggie, a senior, comes to FSU from Arnold, Maryland, in Anne Arundel county. For her spring break, she'll be travelling on a mission trip. As she put it, "I'm going to Kentucky with some people from United Campus Ministry." "We'll be helping the homeless, making sure they get food," she added.

Sarah Polkabla

Sarah Polkabla, a Maryland native originally from Annapolis, is a hardworking sophomore at FSU. "I'm dual-majoring in Computer Science and Secure Computing & Information Assurance," she said. For her spring break, she'll be returning home to relax. She's taking 21 credits this semester, so she won't be relaxing too much.
