What's going on Spring Break?

On this beautiful day, Duncan's Journalistic Writing class took to the campus in an effort to find out what students and faculty are doing for Spring Break this year. In the Echo Circle I was able to converse to several Frostburg State students about their plans.

Zach Beck is a Mass Communications major that hails from Baltimore, Maryland. He is also a senior year and cannot wait for a break from his capstone. When asked what he was doing for Spring Break this year he replied, "I'm staying up in Frostburg to work, so basically, make money."

I also caught another male student as he walked on campus, Joe Cole. He is a senior as well and is an IT major who originates from Baltimore. I asked him what he was looking forward to this break. He smiled and replied, "Working on some houses."

Finally, the last person I interviewed was a SAE member, Derek Houston. He is a junior of the University and is also an Accounting major who is from Silver Springs, Maryland. He threw his basketball from hand top hand as he patiently waited for each question. When I asked him what his plans were he said, "Make some money doing shingles and also go to the Shamrock Shuffle."

These three young men are not only using this break to relax and unwind from the stress of assignments. But they are also taking advantage of their free time and putting money in their pocket.
