Mass Communication: In and Out of the Classroom

Classmate Profile Assignment

     Eli is a man of charisma and integrity; and as suitably so, he sets to major in mass communication with a minor in journalism. While living in presenting in the moment and looking towards the future, Eli remembers the fondest time of his life being his senior year in high school. The life he had was freeing and an interactive time with sports as well as his friends. Throughout his life time, he as been lucky enough to be surrounded by great people, namely his mother. She has been his rock his entire life by always being there for him and being consistently supportive. Even when he had a devastating accident when playing high school basketball, he mom was there to lend him her love and care. The accident look place amidst a basketball game and caused part of his knee to break apart and was immediately rushed to the hospital for surgery. Eli wore a cast for 6 months, which was a detriment towards his lifestyle he was living before because he wasn't able to play sports or be as proactive as he normally is. Taking a step back, we spring into his main hobby: working out. For Eli and many others, it relieves stress while also keeping him active since basketball is not a wise decision to pursue after his injury.

     While gaining some facets of strength in the gym, he is as humble enough to identify his weaknesses. Besides being physically healthy, Eli is outgoing, social, and adaptable to his environment. The weaknesses he admits to are being naive and gullible, which could be a strength by keeping his innocence by believing the inherit good of other people. With a logical progression, Eli wishes to be a social media manager or become a radio voice to have fun with life while also giving himself a purpose by doing what he enjoys. His language based job pursuits stem from Eli his current interest in social media and enjoyment in conversation. The job itself is intriguing because he desires a role in which to be apart of the main of the social parts of society. As open as he is in conversation, Eli also is open with his music selection. "I listen to everything," he exclaims, "I get tired of listening to one genre so I need to switch it up sometimes." He also plays video games like Call of Duty, Battlefield and Fortnite. Fornite is his favorite game at the moment because it's a new, innovative concept in the realm of video games. To wrap things up, Eli likes to keep things simple by his favorite food being a burger. And, if given the choice, the burger is preferred to be medium well. "I don't like drinking blood," he states as I give him a wandering look of contempt of his life choices. Just kidding, he just doesn't like he eating raw meat; he didn't say that.
