A Learning Mother

Juggling
tasks can be very hard, it requires a lot of focus, determination, and
motivation. Her name is Megan Lehew and she is from Fort Ashby, West Virginia
and the tasks she juggles are much more then hard. Megan, an accounting and English
major at Frostburg State University catches books, and school work, projects,
test, quizzes all in one juggling hand. While toys, pampers, and the countless
number of things that comes with having a three year old son are being caught
with the other juggling hand.
She is a 2008 high school
graduate and a 2017 supermom, and also one of the editors of Frostburg State
University school newspaper “The Bottom Line,” you can say Megan does it all.
Accounting being one of the more difficult subjects and her major, Megan says “accounting
reminds me of a puzzle, and I’m good with money math,” which explains why she
chose accounting as a major.
After a break from
school, the birth of Nathaniel, her now three year old son motivated and pushed
Megan to want more. “I came back to school because the birth of my son,” “I
wanted to thrive for more and be better.” A fan of the Netflix series, House of
Cards, Megan doesn’t have the time to watch it as much, “ mostly I’m watching
Mickie Mouse” which has a great deal to do with her son, even though her love
for Disney channel was sparked again and now she enjoys it. A dream job for
Megan would be working for Disney, and any dream is worth perusing so it might
not be a dream for too much longer.
A good student and a good
mother, Megan enjoys hikes with her son and of course taking him to the park.
Balancing being a full time student and a full time mother is by far one of the
hardest task of all. She was determined to be better for her son, motivated by
the birth of Nathaniel, and very focus to not let him down and be the absolute
best mother possible “Nathaniel thinks I am, so I must be.”
